Camping & Lodging The Canoe Outpost offers several different options for those wanting to really get away for a while. Whether staying in one of our cabins, tent or RV camping at the outpost or doing a canoe camping trip with primitive camping along the rivers edge, we hope you will enjoy staying with us..
Cabins Little Manatee Cabin - The Little Manatee cabin offers a home away from home for those paddling with us or just getting away for a while. It is also a great place for those out of town visitors. It sits on stilts overlooking the river and the Outpost. The cabin offers: - sleeping for 6 ( 1 bedroom with a double bed, a low head room sleeping loft with ladder access with double bed and a sofa and queen dbl-high air mattress in the living room ) Rates: Rates are for double occupancy. Kids under 18 stay free with parents. Extra adults are $5 per person per night unless otherwise stated. 1 night - $90.00 Each additional night up to 5 - $75.00 Week - $450.00 Month $1500.00 Other cabins will be available soon. Tent Camping The camp area offers a picnic pavilion with cooking and picnic tables, electricity and water, a large group fire pit, charcoal BBQ grill, gas grill (you supply the gas) and a camper controlled area light. Electricity is located at the pavilion and at one location in the camp area so bring extension cords if you want power at your tent. The pavilion electric is ample for appliances and concert events. Individual sites come with a fire ring with flip-over grill and a picnic table. Bath facilities are close by with a bath house with flush toilets and a private indoor and outdoor hot water showers. This group site can accommodate a single tent or up to 15 tents or 75 people. Rates: Single tent sites - $18.00 per night. The entire camp area can rented for $75.00 per night to provide exclusive use for your group, family or event. RV Site Camping The Canoe Outpost also offers two RV sites adjacent to the group tent camp area. These sites offer water and either 30 or 50 Amp electric and are suitable for RV’s up to 38’. A dump station is on site. Bath facilities are close by with a bath house with flush toilets and private indoor and outdoor hot water showers. A fire ring with flip over grill and a picnic table are provided. Rates: $24.00 per site per night double occupancy. Kids under 18 are free with parents stay. Extra adults are $2.00 per person per night. RV Rental We also offer a 32’ class A RV for rent with A/C, refrigerator, stove, microwave, private bath, DVD & VCR video player TV ( no over air reception ) and a stereo. It has a bedroom with queen size bed, a full size pull out sofa and a fold down dinette bed and can sleep up to 6 people depending on ages. The RV has a full bath available for your use if you prefer but since full hook-ups are not provided for the RV and holding tanks are limited, we ask that RV renters use our bath house whenever possible. The outdoor area includes the RV canopy, a gas grill (gas included), picnic table and a fire ring with flip over grill. Rate: $50 for the first night, $42 for each additional night. |
